WHO WE ARE
In 2022, a group of Cleveland State University Alumni consisting of Jeffrey Schellhammer, Ashish Patel, and Fred Hussein decided to start a structural engineering consulting company to provide top quality structural engineering services for building projects while training future structural engineers through hands-on and guided experience similar to an apprenticeship. The company is named after the initials of its founders as well as its global reach, with offices in Parma (Cleveland area), Ohio, Portersville (Pittsburgh area), Pennsylvania, and associates in India.
Our team brings a breadth of experiences across the design and construction of structures of all types, ranging from wood-framed single-story houses to 15-story+ buildings, and small girder hoisting diagrams to multi-story deep excavation supports via soil nailing and other means. This experience is harnessed to provide innovative and economical structural designs for project scopes of all types and sizes under Sphere Engineers & Consultants.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our projects are maintained internally by our lead structural engineers, who utilize and mentor young engineering and design talent. This process provides economical benefits to our projects via our competitive fees and hands-on leadership and benefits our young staff by providing practical experience during the early stages of their career, along with rewarding senior positions later in their career. Our goal at Sphere Engineers & Consultants is to not only benefit today’s world by providing economical and constructable designs to help provide a safe built environment, but also tomorrow’s world by training fellow engineers to continue providing these essential services.
